PNI13101 sen-Z PNI Corporation Product Details |
PNI Sen-Z is a Z-axis magnetic measurement sensor used for vertical installation on PCB boards, which can be combined with two XY axis magnetic sensors Sen-XY to form a 3-axis/3D magnetic solution. For most applications, the PNI magnetic sensor Sen-Z mainly serves as the sensing element of the measurement circuit (LR relaxation oscillation circuit), and the magnitude of the sensing amount is proportional to the magnetic field parallel to the measurement axis of the sensor. The frequency of the oscillation circuit driven by ASIC will vary with different magnetic fields. By measuring the time of a specific number of oscillation cycles, the magnitude of the measured magnetic field can be derived.
The unique advantages of the PNI Sen-Z65 magnetic sensor's measurement method include low power consumption, high resolution, no hysteresis, digital output, low temperature drift, and minimal interference from environmental electrical noise.
main parameter Power supply: Typically 3.3V Power consumption: 0.5mA (max) Resolution: 0.015 uT Measurement range:+/-11 Gauss Working temperature: -40~85 Size: 3 * 3 * 0.5mm (SEN-Z)
A geomagnetic sensor is used to measure the magnitude of the Earth's magnetic field and provide directional reference. But this faces a significant issue of the temporary impact of variable magnetic fields on determining directional information. For example, metals in homes, passing vehicles, nearby mobile phones, and computers. To compensate for and calibrate magnetic anomalies in these situations, geomagnetic sensors need to be able to accurately distinguish between noise and change values.
The geomagnetic sensor based on PNI magnetic sensing patent technology can provide high-resolution and repetitive performance with extremely low noise. Sensors also have the characteristics of high gain, high sampling rate, and no hysteresis, and do not require temperature calibration or setting/resetting pulse current before each measurement. In the following figure, the measured values of Hall sensors, PNI magnetic sensors, and ideal sensors are compared. The sensor rotates fixedly in a magnetic field of 2.4 μ T and records the measurement values in different directions. |
